Haha yea, the pilot and first half of every new show/season sucks, but HBO doesn't make series like this or Oz/Wire anymore.

I order you to take that one week off and binge

Watched all the James Gandolfin docs years later. Besides being one of the greatest actors of this century, he was flying into the mid-east at the height of the Iraq war to visit troops and boost morale. You could tell from his body language and interactions he was never comfortable around the Hollywood NPC/pedo crowd of colleagues.

Sopranos is probably considered “white supremcist” by these nutjobs now.

But in reality it was one of the most honest and authentic shows ever made. Aside from the therapist part, that was total BS. But it offered a deeper look into Tony’s psyche.

After watching Sopranos, nothing on Netflix or any other streaming services comes close.

Pony tail gangsters need love too. Even if they smack women or 15 yr old teenagers who light off fireworks at random.

Off topic a little. I recently watched Steve Buschemi directed movie Trees Lounge. I never even knew this movie existed, but would recommend seeing. It had an influence on David Chase and lead to Buschemi directing episodes of Sopranos, including fan fav Pine Barrens.
