enjoying a 5 set cd box by Lynyrd Skynyrd that arrived yesterday. the combination of rock and boogiewoogie is really infectious haha. loving this stuff

my favorite so far is their second album, 'Second Helping'

three songs right after each other on the album, three slightly different genres really, but an overall recognizable sound

this is the album that also has 'Sweet Home Alabama'

their classic debut is not included in the set, I'm buying an edition with bonus demos next month on the strenff of this set

I might post some 38 Special songs later on. their singer is a brother of some of the guys who used to be in Lynyrd Skynyrd. 38 Special sounds a bit more like mainstream rock to me though, at least judging from the Icon compilation album I have

please add on, I love this type of music. thanks everyone

I heard many good things about this live album and it is indeed a great listen. very good sound (this is not even the remaster), nice extended jams and just all around good musicianships

I got this one in a box w/ 4 more of their albums. their debut is stunning too. the second album is a bit all over the place but does contain this classic

I still have to check out the two remaining albums in that package. supposedly 'Eat a peach' is also very good

I was surprised to find out two of their founding members died in a motorcycle accident only a year and thirteen days apart
