I might actually like this version better than the original which is saying a lot cause the original is one of the best songs ever made imo. I give the original a slight edge for being more atmospheric and unique.

this is damn near perfect

Erick Sermon mastered the chilled out hip hop beat in the mid 90s. He had a great run.
I will give the original a slight edge. I prefer Nas on the hook, orignal is 10\10, this is 9.5/10. Both are bangers though
I agree with Sha, his tracks from that era have unlimited replay value. Az has to be the perfect rapper on any track as well.
This is one of my favorite joints.
Another classic E remix
It's a Muggs beat. E just rapped on that one.
oh I didn't know either. I have the EP upstairs. dope EP but just like Temples of Boom it was slaughtered by the press down here.
The Rhyme which you posted is a good example of those first 2 or even 3 Murray albums having (very good) beats. as a rapper Murray is definitely listenable but to me he's kind of average contentwise. his flow and voice are nice though, especially his voice sets him apart from other rappers. he sounds great over dope beats by E. Murray's albums last too long for me, I can't stay focused on what he's saying (he's not saying that much lol) but his voice and the beats are not at fault
