Yeah.....that song was the beginning of the end for the Wu. In all fairness though, how do you top Forever? I mean the name says it all.

The video is worse than the song. I don’t hate the track to be honest. Ghost and Meth sounded good on it. Peace

Agreed...I wasn't a fan at first but it has grown on me a bit over the years and I enjoy the verses from Ghost and Meth. There are worse songs on the album IMO

How y'all can not be fans of Gravel Pit? This shit bangs! It's one of the RZA's finest moment and I think its' the Wu best charting single

"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth" (Rev. 3:15-16)

Gravel Pit is classic. That's the way to do a mainstream type song, It sounded Wu with the movie theme sample and dope verses but it was still upbeat and catchy as a radio single.

I think Uzi (Pinky Ring) was a better attempt at making a mainstream Wu Tang song. Heart Gently Weeps was soft as fuck to me when it dropped; sounded like some Savage Garden alternative rock type shit or what they play on the speakers at Abercrombie And Fitch or Banana Republic, but I can stomach it now. Gun Will Go would have been dope as fuck as a radio single/video.. Such a wasted opportunity with that song..

Very hard to top WTF. The W is better now with age, but still was a massive let down in 2000. Gravel Pit was them trying to get that crossover radio hit. Why though? That's not their steez.

Yeah but Triumph was not your typical radio track. 9 verses with no hook. And radio was different in 2000, so Gravel Pit was them leaving their lane a little bit. Peace
