I'm guessing 70s rock is equivalent to 90 rap. As in, this is when it peaked and then there was a gradual decline.

I truly believe the telecommunications act of 1996 could have been the death knell of a lot genres leaving mainstream music. At least in the U.S.

damn so the Telecommunications Act of 1996 created a way for companies to monopolize radio station programming huh, whut else is new. I see why cats like Killah Priest are taking their material straight to the internet and having direct contact with listeners in a chat room style setting. As artists, the only way we fight back from this discovery aka. the wool being pulled over our eyes, is to start podcasts and things of that nature so we can advertise our merch and sell it to consumers directly instead of having them buy an album just to see what a t-shirt or hoodie would look like...
