    Slick Rick.

Maybe he’s not technically retired, but he hasn’t dropped an album since 1998!

This is a good question. Can hip-hop artists really retire? I will assume that major artists who've put their stamp and made millions over the years can afford to "retire".

It'd be nice to see Andre 3000 release an album. I haven't heard from DJ Quik in a while.

I don't know if he ever officially retired, but without hesitation Big Daddy Kane.

    Good choices.

I would have said Rakim, but I know he made an album 10 years ago which I've never heard. Is it any good?

It has some bangers but overall lackluster

Yeah I think some artists just lose their fire at a certain point.

I'd like another Pete Rock & CL album, but I know that every 5 or so years they try to do that and end up fighting and giving up.

Rakim's solos were always lackluster. It's a shame, but he just doesn't have much appeal as a solo artist. Whatever happened to Eric B anyway?

^^They reunited a couple of years ago for a couple of anniversary shows, I think, but no new music materialized.

What about Producers you would like to hear again? I got quite a few in mind. I will start with Beatminerz.

^^Is it good? How does it compared to their 90's classics?
