Absolutely not, he might be saying ‘hit his piece’ instead of hid, for example. But rap nominee makes sense, come to think of it, if 97 was the year they were nominated for a Grammy.

Ghost clearly is referencing a cat that was always coming up to him, and being pushy/pussy. And the cat was roaming around the lower east side, shitting everywhere, and marking its territory. And cats always prance around like they own everything. But also suspect of people. And those times, especially in the dark, are scary hourz.
