Summary please?
- True is currently working on an album with Cappadonna – possibly out in November. He is rhyming on a few tracks too.
- Doing a few tracks with Shyheim as well.
- Tragedy was originally a beat True made specifically for Gravediggaz (Pick,Sickle,Shovel).
- RZA asked True for a commercial sounding beat – ended up as La Rhumba.
- True Master’s Grandmother passed away during the Wu Forever sessions – otherwise he would have had a slew of joints on that album, instead of just MGM/Heaterz.
- Talks about initial meeting with All In Together Now, via Melquan. They formed a bond after that.
- The beats he made for Divine Intervention were done on a new beat workstation – all live instrumention, no samples. Hence it not having that traditional sound that we are accustomed
to.
- His biggest influence as a producer was Easy Mo Bee.
- Almost finished his law degree.
- Working on a doc about his legal battles and victory.
You can definitely hear that Easy Mo Bee influence in his production. Glad to hear that he is almost finished with his law degree.. That would be a nice side hustle for him
Cappa X Truemas album would be fire
True and Mathematics are two huge blessings for Wu.

True indeed! Ever since I heard that Cappa verse on the Meta-Historical album, I was saying to myself damn these two really need to get back in the studio together. It felt like that true master beat brought out that fly slick slang sluggy Shit Donna was on in the late 90’s. I swear it’s like Cappa doesn’t do it on any track unless it’s produced by true master. They definitely have a chemistry and would love for them to do another album.
“Persia and Don Don, lean back and we chill in the jag, baby what’s up, boots gortex, jeans bunched up. Good with the 6 pack, stomach is crunched up”
Yeah Cappa and True mash so well together. No wonder The Pillage is a classic album
N.I.
When I last listened to The Pillage, Cappadonna sounded tired and off beat.
