NASA and other private companies had YEARS to develop a plan for a manned mission to Mars. 2024 was the goal and now it's in the 2030s. Cancel the moon mission and plan for Mars.

Back to Shat'n'her and company, an elevator into space, which is basically what this is, is stoopid. Drop the tourist shit, get back to the science missions.

Sure mahney and big egos have helped space travel a good bit forward since the early 2000s now but I would like to see more science and feasible long term goals.

    Not TJ Hooker in space.

And yes, Mars is a feasible long term goal imo.

The only way to Mars is simple . Someone needs to crack that alcubieere drive formula . Sooner or later , it’s gonna happen

And I’d rather we shot for the moon titan than Mars. The possibilities are endless there discovery wise, at this point , Mars is a barren wasteland that won’t serve us in any way

This won't happen in decades. Even then, NASA has to construct the machine, testing, and hope it doesn't explode after launch.

I agree. We need a manned mission to Titan.

NASA wants the mission to start in 2035 (around that time). Dang. I'll be in my 50s.

Bezos is building a space station too for companies to do research on, also with room for a few tourists.

I believe Amazon will become a Buy-in-Large type business in the future.
