Default House Of Pain-Rise Again dropped twenty five years ago today

Their final album. They went out on a good note with this album..

I was a HUGE fan of them. Bought all three albums, the Judgement Night OST and some CD singles. The third album is good, some very strong tracks, but sounds somewhat different with the additional input of two members. I was not surprised to hear they broke up very soon after the album dropped.

    Whatever happened to Divine Styler?

I even had a few HoP tees, I just remembered. And LPs, which was rare for me. I only bought CDs.

    Btw remember this?

They actually announced their break up on the same day the album dropped, Divine Styler is still around. He is a member of Warporn Industries with Everlast and Sick Jacken

I have to say I'm completely ignorant of this group. I could recite 'Jump Around' off by heart if anyone wants to hear me rap haha but never explored their music beyond that.

What should I check out first?

The second album, 'Same as it ever was', is the best. The accompanying beats are pretty barebones in some cases. I used to love that.

I admit to being a late bloomer on HOP albums as well. Second is my favorite. But all 3 are definitely worth a listen. And that Warporn album from a few years back was crazy. Divine’s beats on there were bangers. Peace
