being from connecticut the best part about florida is the weather.
too many years putting up with blistering cold smh and the snow. i drink hot soda just so i dont have to see ice no more lollol jk but yea

    also
in bridgeport i lived in a third floor with no access to parking space so the parking wars on my street back in bport was HELL!!!!

laundry day and groceri shopping was hell also..
    now

no more stairs to climb and no more fighting for parking.

    another thing is car taxes

in ct we pay taxes for the cars twice a year

in florida theres non of it!
    also no e,issions testing!
u can register a car even if its on a tow truck....

also the streets r well maintained in florida. its a joy to drive out here...

back in ct it was hell on the cars with all the craters n pot holes smh.

these r just a few things i can think of right now.... to be comtinued

Doesn't Florida have no state income tax additionally? That would be a major plus.

I saw a friend of mine yesterday who just came back from a 4 to 5 month trip that took him from Colombia via Panama and California to Florida.

He loved the feel of people not putting down roots in Cali and FL, esp. with people not caring too much about permanent housing solutions, having side jobs like Uber etc. It looks like there's a lot more regional and economical mobility in (parts of) the US when compared to down here.

He also said women in Florida 'have no sexual morals' lol, which us fine by him because he is a chronical philanderer.

I was surprised to hear just how little paperwork there was to fill out to buy property in FL. (I guess it's the same all over the US)? There's way more red tape down here.

Other things he said about Cali and FL :
*people seem very welcoming to immigrants
    *nobody discussed politics

Thought it might be interesting to share an outsider's perspective

despite what the internet will tell you, Americans don't discuss politics and don't think about it often. They usually know their opinion and act accordingly but sitting around talking about that shit is weird. Especially with strangers. Even among friends and family being 'the guy that brings up politics' usually means you're considered obnoxious.

If you care about immigration and live in California and Florida, you'll kill yourself.

People from Southern California usually brag about the weather and people from Florida usually complain about the interstate seasonal migration, also knows as snowbirds. Northerners who go south for the winter causing congestion. That and spring breakers.

I think this goes for most of the world though. The west care more about politics, mostly because they have the freedom to, but even in the west for the individual with responsibilities it still ends up being a waste of time.

    That's life.

Yeah but Deathsentence-santis is worse than a snow storm. Skamp's fat ass is considered super duper high risk for covid death.

    Stay safe out there, skamp..

Bridgeport might not get much snow thanks to the long island sound.

That’s a perceptive observation you made concerning the Long Island sound.

You must be a weather nerd.
