Didn't Claaa7 have a dope version of this LP?

What happened to that guy? Seems like he disappeared from the internet.

Yeah I have a CDr of his version. It's too bad he hasn't updated his blog in ages. Very knowledgeable guy.

Also IIRC noel hates the retail version with a passion.

Same here. This would be my 3rd GFK album after Ironman and supreme clientele. AlC and RZA production with some solid features by Rae, Meth,Trife and killa sin.

It's a very good album in my book too. Ironman and SC are untouchable though. Fishscale too.

Retail BPW and Pretty Toney could have been as good as the first two albums without the tracks that were left off. Still, I'm thankful for Street Chemistry that was added on to BPW. That joint might be the hardest on the whole album.

That thumbnail looks like what it would look like if Ghostface and Raekwon had a series on Adult Swim.

Yo am thankful for this post as finally know name of that song ("Street Chemistry") lol. Def a banger and solid closer! "Hilton" might take the title of hardest joint in "BPW" though...

Hmmm knew about tracklist issues w 1st 3 GFK albums but never new about "Pretty Toney" too. PT is NOT his best but my personal fav from GFKs catalogue. Now am curious about tracks left off that one...

^^here is claaa7's write up on BPW

    http://claaa7.blogspot.com/2012/06/g...ts-c7.html?m=1

    and on PT

    http://claaa7.blogspot.com/2010/12/g...lp-c7.html?m=1

(DL links on claaa7's blog are probably sadly defunct by now though)

a lot of PT stuff that was cut because of samples ended up on The Theodore Unit album. Other tracks on The Pretty Toney Collection. There are 2 versions of that album. I have 'em both. The one disc version is legit and plays well. The 2 disc version has CD2 skipping all over the place. (Disc 1 is just the same as on the one disc version)

You could sample some tracks on YT, a lot of stuff will probably still be up there.

and Hidden Darts : Special Edition might have some stuff meant for PT (I'd have to check back with claaa's blog) but it definitely has stuff meant for BPW

Classic album. I remember in high school seeing a poster outside a record store. I brought the album when I was in college (2004). I still have the CD today.

BPW used to be my third favorite album until I bumped Fishscale.

Ha. Its not perfect but I still don't get your opinion.

Noel do you really think Maxine or The Hilton for example are bad songs?

    They're both average songs.

It's not the worst album ever. Just the most disgraceful and embarrassing.
