As most of you know there has been complaints/solutions to the image sizes people can have in their signature.

I think 100kb for disc size is good

Therefore I will let people have their input in how large the images should be, since some like big ones, small ones based on their connection and how fast the thread pages load and how much they need to scroll.

The rule currently is 100 for the height, but I dont see that working. The width will likely remain 450 or so, but the width is the main concern. I think 200 should be the max, heard 150 a few times.....perhaps an additional small image should be permitted?

The text also has a rule of 4 lines.....It could be increased if their is a rule for what the largest font that can be used.

To find out how large a signature is, right click on the image and select "properties".

thats the max for any gfx banner maker... i usually use 400X120 but that 120 cant be used... 100 for height is too small... 150 is sufficient... peace

how about a case by case basis where the basic rule is dont stretch the screen and 1 image.

ive spoke wit TomB our webmaster and he will be changin the size dimensions of the signature limits to 450x150. that will get rid of the odd shaped rule thats in effect now.

It would be cool to have the restrictions so that the height is like 150/200, and the width could be anything up to the main post table's width, only with a restriction on the actual file size, idk 300kB or something. This way people would have room to play around with different designs horizontally, but it would stop these page high sigs that take all day to scroll through.

I was going to suggest only allowing 1 image per sig aswell, but if people use common sense and only post them next to each other, as opposed to below each other, then multiple images wouldn't be such a problem.

Or alternatively just get rid of restrictions completely, and have someone mod who will get ruthless and delete the sigs of those who are taking the piss.

not a bad idea... also someone needs to go thru and cleanup those sigs that are out there that are still not within the new standard!

I think the signatures are alright, it's only when one has to scroll down a signature that takes half the page- now that's annoying. As far as rules go, I think what they agree is O.K.

yeah, 150 is good, since it fits nicely for signatures.

But the keyword is "maximum", since some people may choose to put a picture that isnt a banner, and why i think 200 may be max.

in your case, its not really the dimensions, the file size max rule is 100kb, and yours is now 669.94 KB (686015 bytes)
