I've listened to about half so far and I love what I've heard "the main thing..." Sounds like it could have been a 4th Disciple. This was getting some hate on Twitter...I'm not seeing that personally
I understand a little backlash, its honestly a little underwhelming. Expectations were high, but a new Black Star LP produced by Madlib should have been a slam dunk.
It feels a little too casual imo. The mixing for example is not great, Mos slurs his words a lot etc. You know the whole thing was recorded in hotel rooms and shit.
But as I said before, great to hear them again, its not bad by any means, it just could have been more.
Agreed... Mixing is. not very good...
The production is dope never heard of these producers though
