thriller about an assassin for hire who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. Neeson is the assassin, Pearce is an FBI agent. Not surprised to see Pearce in a movie involving memory lol

this movie is a remake of an early 2000s Belgian thriller and was in Hollywood development hell for 18 years. Big names like Pacino, Schwarzenegger and Clint Eastwood were at one point or another attached to the project, either as actors or directors

the original movie, which 1 in 13 Belgians went to see in theaters, was the second largest domestic box office hit, after "The Loft" (by the same director, that movie was remade by the Belgian director for Hollywood a few years ago but bombed)

both the US movie and the original version are based on a police thriller novel that is part of a larger series starring the same cast of cops (in the Belgian book and movie they are cops, not FBI agents)

For American audiences the setting was changed to El Paso but apart from that the remake is pretty faithful to the source material
