Default THE LATE LATE PASS : artists you 'discover' decades too late

A slightly rotund middle aged man by the name of Hal Incandenza has only just now discovered Nick Cave. His wallet is bleeding right now but his ears are glowing.

His ladyfriend and former crush has only been listening to Cave for 25+ years. lol

Who you got? There's gotta be that one artist you missed out on for ages.

There is an 80s new wave band, China Crisis. I only discovered recently because they collaborated with Walter Becker of Steely Dan.

I can't think of many that I outright overlooked. It was usually that I didn't have time to explore their discography so I just liked a few songs but eventually planned to get to them.

Recently thats been Talking Heads, Tori Amos, Memphis Bleek.

That's funny I bought 2 Talking Heads albums last week and I was checking out random latter career Tori Amos songs on YT last night. WTF what are the chances

Full disclosure I've always been a Memph Bleek fan.

I've also been trying to get into PJ's Harvey's catalogue, whom I only know from 2 singles. It's through the Nick Cave connection, I read they were an item in 1996 or something.

Always liked Bleek but only heard him on other stuff, mostly Jay's.

Have been considering trying out Memphis Bleek, The Understanding seems to be his magnum opus and most recommended album..

Yeah thats the one I'm listening to. Its good. The other albums I skimmed through on youtube. I think MADE and 534 will get some more spins. His debut, I just can't fuck with the beats.
