Default What happened to Angel Of Dust? Produced by Ghost & RZA?

I came across this article from 2019 which mentions Ghost & RZA producing a film called Angel of Dust (https://deadline.com/2019/01/wu-tang...ce-1202544004/). A horror film inspired by true stories from SI. RZA is also set to direct. I tried to find some more info on this, but can't even find a IMDB entry.

    Could this be this one:

Bianca D’Ambrosio (Call Jane), Chiara D’Ambrosio (High Heat), BJ Tanner (Station 19), Dana Powell (Bridesmaids), Sean O’Bryan (Olympus Has Fallen) and Dean McDermott (Open Range) will star in the indie horror movie Nyctophobia, from executive producer RZA.

In the film, twin sisters Rose (Bianca D’Ambrosio) and Azalea (Chiara D’Ambrosio) and their friend Brooks (Tanner) find themselves trapped in a supernatural blackout in which monsters are real. Their only hope for survival comes from the light of their cellphone. Kim Noonan (Pepper) is directing from a script by Koji Steven Sakai (The Commando), with Little Nalu Pictures (The Commando) producing in association with Mirror Image Films (Sometimes I Think About Dying). Individual producers include Sakai, Stanley Yung, Brian Tedeschi and Vicki Vass. Additional executive producers on the project include Mike Smith, Mike Meade and Pascal Counts. Smith and RZA’s Razor Sharp Records will score the movie, with the pair also lending their song “Lost In Insanity” to the picture. Production kicks off this month.
Interestingly enough, this is the first time in decades that I have seen the name Razor Sharp Records being dropped as active part of something. Don't recall Thriller or Cut Throat City soundtracks being released on it. Same goes for the latest bobby digital outings. Those were all set up through the 36 Chambers imprint I believe.

The two films have completely different plots, writers, companies & producers so I doubt there's any connection between the two besides RZA. There is an entry for Angel of Dust on IMDB but b/c it's not moved past development it's on IMDB pro apparently:

Maybe the project never got rolling due to COVID hitting the next year?

Somtimes films change during production. But I wasn't too sure it was the same since RZA is not the director, but it was still a horror flick. Interesting that it is only on IMDB Pro. Did not know that was a possibility. COVID put a stop to a lot of productions, so that sounds like a feasible theory. It sounds like a project that both Ghost & RZA would really like to pull off though.

Have to say, it looks like they are releasing more nowadays. Sure, there is still the development hell of Dark Matter, GZA's Wu documentary, Supreme Clientele 2, Crystal Meth. But besides these, a lot has been released.

just my personal opinion based on nothing really but I get the impression some of the stuff of Dark Matter was used on A Better Tomorrow (a few of GZA's verses or maybe just some of his lines) and GZA's Wu documentary on some documentaries that were released so at least that's a win for me. I'm optimistic and naive like that lol

I never really got into A Better Tomorrow much. Don't know, it just sounds a bit generic to me. Some of the production does show signs of growth for RZA as a producer. But it lacks an overall focus and necessity in my eyes. And why would you name another track A Better Tomorrow.
edit: But what about the Vangelis stuff?

The thing with the GZA doc was that it had a clear insider start. Something the other docs have less sow. But the Showtime thing was solid though.

A Better Tomorrow is just okay. Project Strum remixed the whole album and that is a better listen overall, although obviously its still a generic 90s Wu sound.

It would make sense for them to drop a new clan album next year for the 30th anniversary but you know.
