Default Greatest Sitcoms Of All Time?

    What are they?

And also what are some underrated/forgotten sitcoms?

I always think of Cheers as one of the GOAT sitcoms. Probably the funniest character writing and all around performances, especially Shelley Long.

The UK sitcom Ever Decreasing Circles is underrated. The premise is really simple - an uptight man becomes obsessed and insecure about his successful new neighbor, but the execution is perfect. Its a deconstruction of suburbia and middle england politics.

I need to check out that Ever Decreasing Circles, see if it's available on streaming platforms.

While I'll be circling back to this thread later when I come up with some sitcoms I enjoy, it's pretty late at night here right now, so let me just leave you with one of the WORST sitcoms of all time

    According to Jim

182 episodes of absolute torture, predictable to death, every single episode is a 95% carbon copy of the one that preceded it. I hate Jim, I hate the wife, I hate their little marital competition, I hate the sister with the black hair, I hate the fat brother who is meant to eradiate gayness and has trouble with the ladies. The kiddies get a pass, otherwise Sky Daddy won't let me through the pearly gates when that time finally arrives and I can leave this cruel world filled with worthless American sitcoms behind

    Married With Children

Kids got made fun of at school for watching Frasier and King of the Hill because those were "old people" shows, but they're growing on me now

According to Jim and Friends are in the bottom 5 easily.

Wayans bros. Workaholics are very rewatchable for me. Also Coach, especially if Luther is involved.

Sanford and Son and Welcome back Kotter for some quality oldies.

Never heard of According To Jim, but I will avoid it.

Friends is in the bottom 5? I think it holds up although the later seasons are a bit rough. Funny actors.

As far as the worst sitcoms, theres a lot of very broad, childish UK sitcoms that I'd rather not even think about. 2 Broke Girls was pretty horrible - the show only went off the air 5 years ago but it was tacky as fuck and weirdly racist. Kat Dennings though.

    Started watching Night Court.

Its a solid show so far, very easy to watch. Theres a lot of random guest appearances from 80s actors that are fun to spot.

Growing pains, Family ties, Who's the boss and the TGIF shows were also good.
