    Default Insomniacs

Sorry if i already did a thread about this. I was supposed to, n i thought i did, but it doesn't look like i did.

The guys who produced the second Victor Vaughan album. From what I recall there was actually some kind of competition to c who would produce that album?

Anyway, their production is nuts. That shit is my second fave Doom release, after madvilliany. Fall back/titty fat is my fave Doom track. That beat is wild.

Just wondering, did the Insomniacs do anything else worthwhile? I know I looked them up in the past and couldn't find much. I still have that VV cd. From what i recall there's info about them n their other projects in the booklet. I'll have a look if I don't forget before I make it downstairs.

I have the album too but I'm too lazy to go upstairs so I had a look on Discogs. Insomniac turns out to be the label the album was put out on and the producers are a varied bunch of guys who all won the contest you referred to

that guy IZ-REal who is all over the album is the label head (and rapper) IIRC

I dig this album too, the beats have a samey vibe so I'm not surprised you thought one producer / producer team handled all the beats. so very well put together on the beat front by the label and the various producers

Thanks Hal, I did completely forget about it before I got downstairs. As expected.

Definitely would've thought at least the bulk of it would've been the same producer(s). I must've never had a proper look at it. I might have to look up some of those cunts. I used to actually have a compilation cd by the cunt who did Ode To Road Rage, Dub-L. Pretty average, from memory. But yeah, that track is great. Really dark, sinister beat.

really looking at that producer list it's only now I notice Diplo is on there. this must have been before he became such a famous artist/producer. maybe this was part of his launching pad, so to speak

in fact I wasn't even sure it was the same guy, but the link below confirms it

I tried to find that 'Blue Beards Dreams' on YT but it's not on there unfortunately

I have no idea who Diplo is, lols. I fuc'n love that beat tho. I'll have to look the cunt up. I wanna look up a few of these cunts when I get the chance. I looked up the cunt(s) who did Fall back/titty fat, n couldn't find anything.

Fuc'n crazy that those 2 beats r by different cunts. Would've bet my life the same cunts did those 2 beats.

Like u said, fuc'n great job making this album so cohesive with all the different producers. Absolutely sounds like it was all the same producers who put it together.
