The Fugees did. "While you imitating Al Capone, I'll be Nina Simone, and defecating on ya microphone" they also had the Chinese skit at the end of "The Beast" with a guy who worked at a Chinese Spot but was also Muslim lol this was a clear shot at Wu-Tang.
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.
That Al Capone line could be aimed at any East Coast mid 90s rapper though. I remember as a kid the rumor was Lauryn’s voodoo line was aimed at Ghost. Peace
And I just realized the Fugees lettering is basically same as The Godfather. And their intro takes shots at mafia type MCs. Talk about hypocritical. Peace
De La Soul also shit on Wu that year. The only italians you knew was icees. They shit on everybody that year though. Incredible album.
GFK and his crew jumped Y-Kim the Illfigure for beats.
didnt U-god at one point had to ask the courts for protection from dudes in the hood
as for Superb im sure he had some protection from his hood but Wu cats never really paid him attention. i do believe he had alot to do with influencing GFK for 2 albums. could have possibly ghost wrote some but also think his style, words, flow was imitated heavy on 2 albums.
He never wrote for Ghost. Why doesn't Doggie Diamonds post the interview up when Shyheim exposed Perb as being on the sex offenders list and Doggie Diamonds himself said Perb told him he never wrote a rhyme for Ghost.

I’m drunk now.
I don't think it's about knowing better, it's more a case of why the fuck would you? You're basically gonna be embarrassing yourself and have nobody on your side by doing it. There's no good reason for anybody to diss them.
Most respectable rappers don't get dissed.
