    Default R.I.P. Coolio

    https://variety.com/2022/music/news/...er-1235387456/

This joint right here was life changing for me when I heard it. An all star Blondie collab featuring five extraordinarily talented yet underrated lyricists in Coolio, Prodigy, U-God, Havoc, and Inspectah Deck. Having two of my biggest lyrical influences in U-God & Prodigy spittin' back to back was mind boggling enough as it is, but the energy Coolio set this joint off with was remarkable, setting the groundbreaking, smash mouth tone for a meeting of top tier minds to obliterate this remix. Rest In Power to the legends, Coolio, and Prodigy.

    ^ I don't remember that song.

I never heard his albums but he had some good singles.

    RIP.

Rest In Peace to him. Was bumping Monstars' Anthem a few days ago and was bumping W.C. And The Maad Circle a few weeks ago. He had a great string of hit singles in the nineties, had a Grammy and two platinum albums. He accomplished a lot.

    RIP

Loved his first album. One of my earliest hip hop albums I had back in high school. Second one was good too. Had huge commercial success for a while and managed to sustain some relevance for a lengthy period. Sad news.

Fantastic voyage was huge hit back in the day. Definite summer anthem in 94.

Damn he said he was going to get killed in his last interview with hip-hop uncensored.

I read that he had already lent his voice to the upcoming Futurama comeback. That show has aged better than The Simpsons.

RIP to the legend, I remember watching fantastic voyage on MTV over and over like many of the other videos back in those times. It was definitely a variety though. Now they play the same show 23 1/2 hours every day. Going to the theater to see Dangerous Minds. I don't think I've heard any of LV's albums?
