Official Rare Wu Track Request Thread

If we could get a sticky on this eventually id appreciate. I think we need this thread in these days and times.

i noticed lately a lot of people have been trying to find rare tracks, spread over multiple threads so i figured we could all make our requests in one place so we all know where to look. I figured we might have done this before but I couldnt find the thread so, my apologies if this is a rehash. Obviously we shouldnt request stuff on major albums and stuff but rare cuts should be no problem uploading stuff for each other.


ive searched all over the net, soulseek, torrents, etc for

Rza w/ meth and mk - Glock go pop demo, its a version without the synth that was popular in the kazaa, napster, audiogalaxy days
cappadonna - black boy pete rock remix he did on his future flavaz show in 99

and most important
ODB - broken language freestyle, circa 1996 from the funk flex show i believe. Was one of his coldest frees if memory serves me right

I had all of these songs and one point or another so all exist. The odb was up on youtube until the account got taken down

Not really rare but is there a good quality version of Onyx - Evil Streets remix that has Method Man on it? I've only ever heard/downloaded vinyl rips of that song and it doesn't sound good enough to through on mixtapes

I've got 2 versions of "Evil Streets (Remix)". One is from a rip I did from vinyl (from 1998 Onyx 2LP "Best Of Onyx") (doesn't sound that good), the other is from the 2008 Onyx CD release "Cold Case Files (Vol. 1)" (which is better, but is probably sourced from vinyl).

This still has not leaked? It was the full song right? Is there anyone actually out there with the speaker? Because I reckon that the fact it has not leaked yet, is solely because of the lack of interest.

Also, I found some of that Achozen stuff. But all that was also pretty poor quality. Have better qualities of that surfaced?

Yea that was the theead i was looking for but forgot the name

like ta said there is a vinyl rip of those instrumentals floating around but how hq they are i couldnt say. Sometimes vinyl rips have static and shit. But i can fix the static with my beat programs if anyone has any that are f’d. I know for example raekwons blue eagles rip is staticy as hell, so i fixed it.

when i connect to my pc later ill see what i got for everyones requests. And again. Soulseek is still king for wu tracks.

as far as big horn. The boombtox has no outs so you cant really rip it. Only version of big horn i heard was a snippet. The boombti nly had the snippet, not the full version so idk if it ever released

didnt achozen have a boombotix too? I know a lot of the stuff was used for babylon ad soundtrack but idk if it ever released. I had like a bootleg achozen stuff. Like killah priest - immaculate. But no concrete release.

thats the odb - broken language freestyle. Was actually from 99. This is his all time best freestyle. 5 min long straight.

I got verification on glockopop being played on wakeup show in 99 so its somewhere

Here are the ABT instruments. From what I can recall I ripped them with a Stanton deck, nothing fancy. Did the standard processing to remove hiss/pop. Then I amplified them, probably to match the eq levels of the cd tracks (or to just max them out), but I don't remember the exact reason. Either way they turned out really good imo.

in my search for the boombotix rips i found this achozen link saying full album. I never heard much about the achozen boombotix so idk how they ripped it

the big horn snippet was on youtube but now gone. Vaguely remember cap n maybe ugod on it

Nice thread! Speaking of Boombotix, I've been searching all around for a recording of the ODB speaker playing the original version of "Obey Me" (since the speakers has no outs) with no luck. I even wrote to all sellers of the speaker on eBay asking if I could buy a recording. I should've bought it back when it was $20 but I was young and broke...

Iirc what's on the Wu speaker is only available snippet of Big Horn, and a full alternate version of some ABT track but I can't remember which!

Other stuff I'm looking for is a wav rip of the Rainy Dayz Remix from the cds and a wav rip of Dirty & Stinken 1993 Demo from Wu Fam Exclusive Cuts.

Might be able to help out some as well, speaking of the Evil Streets Remix I can upload the demo version later today (with a different Sonny Seza verse and some other differences)
