Crazy
tbh id never listen to these. Something about it just seems hollow to me. Id listen to yours because your a huge wu fan who would put in the work to make it like the old days, but all the ai generated stuff ive heard is wack even if its getting better. Its close but not there yet. You can hear the lack of soul how every word lacks depth or something. I cant explain.
AI music is like sex dolls compared to women
Bruce Lee is something else. Nowadays the Bruce Lee estate is pretty overprotective about his image. They did not even make him part of the Ip Man films. But we have to remember that a Bruce Lee was his own genre at one point, Bruceploitation. Anybody that looked like him, was names like him. Bruce Li, Bruce Le, Bruce Leong, Dragon Lee, et cetera. That was just horrible.
But now we are more on the level of that animation with Bruce Lee that was made in the early 2000's (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_wuecxhDTo). Now I don't now how the family reacted to that. But the general concensus in my circles was that this was pretty awesome animation and brought somebody back pretty well, by the standards of that time.
But Bruce is dead. So let's talk about a living musician. Because otherwise we could also start talking about JUICEWRLD & 2Pac, and how they are splicing together material recorded by them.
Hatsune Mikune & Gorillaz. Hatsune Mikune is a completely virtual artist. Or rather Vocaloid. She seems to be like a precursor to this. Gorillaz, driven by Damon Albarn, is for the better part a virtual artist. I could see this working for Gorillaz. As Gorillaz is an outlet for Damon Albarn, but could live on after he is gone or done with it. They were always meant for this.
*I wrote something else here, but it got lost.*
Let's take Ghostface. Here, I can understand your point of view. But I think it all depends on the artist. Consent is a thing though, as are ethics. An artist could be pretty unhappy if someone ran away with their voice trying to show something off. But this has been happening for the longest time in tech. Like the playboy photo that was used for the creation of JPEG. Not saying it is right. I think, you could try something out just to see how far you could push it. And see what the results are. It is not like there is malice in this, like the deep fakes in porn. One of the options with this is off course to let people say things they would normally not. That would really just be a hype, and forgotten the next day. Also, where is the artistic merit in that?
Also, the conflict is already here. So you are right about that one.

Wu-Tang: failing the internet tubes since 1997
So I was working on speech-to-speech AI from December 30, 2019. Just for the record so I don't forget.

Did Ghost pull all his IG posts related to his “Xmas” album? Seems a little shady no? Peace
Young Guru shared his thoughts on the whole AI talk:

This is the case he is referencing:

Might be time to revisit that, and look into some new legislation regarding this.
