'You know what an awesome idea is, to do some NFT songs', said people 18 months ago. While I admire the boldness, I can't help but think that the people behind the Ghostface X-Mas project were also whispering in Ueys ear.

From what I read there are only 3,000 artificial digital copies of each song available. With it you can win prices, and you may resell the song. The project is pushed by Melos (https://twitter.com/melos_studio), whom I have never heard. Must be another scrappy web3 startup.

He did an interview with a guy from Melo on Twitter: https://twitter.com/i/spaces/1LyxBqBPnVyJN Sounds like they actually played a 60 minutes of the song in the first 3 minutes of that interview, at low quality.

edit 2: that interview/talk is super weird. they really talk on 2 different levels, don't really get the idea that they connected. and no idea where these songs came from, U got them from his vault. but does not elaborate exactly when they were recorded.

LMAO, that's a bit harsh now? Plus, it would be Mr. Xcitement. HS was a posse project, trying to put his fam on. Which he recognized as a mistake in his book. Seems that both he & Rae made the same mistake, trying to build their own family with people who did not have the mentality for the music business. Uey even called out Meth for doing the same, but 20 years later with Meth Lab. I remember Deck was trying to push Housegang or something at one point.

Did anybody buy any of the tracks? From what I gathered, you get the NFT, and the track in high quality. Which means you have to play it through your own music player. This last part, I think is a bit of a hurdle. People are used to having everything in one place. Why would you pay 50$ and have a tracks lingering around somewhere, and not directly accessible like the rest. Would have made more sense if it was part of a bigger thing with a unified app for playing NFT music. Sounds like Snoop sort of announced something like that on the same day (https://hiphopdx.com/news/snoop-dogg...ng-app-shiller), but I'm not sure. Dude seems to be straight up hustling anything web3.

I only remember this coming from True Master himself on his IG. If I recall correctly this was the post about the song that ended up on Wu-Chronicles Part II, which was created for GAR but cut from the album.

As far as I can see the NFT's only offer the music as an MP4. It could be that they had a separate link where you could download it in the format of your choice. Like FLAC, M4A or MP3. I certainly hope so when you buy a track for $49.
