im suprised 4th got so worked up by this. I love 4th to DEATH. And he had an epic 94-99 run but he has released such a little anount if music. I know he had the speakers album and algorthtym but true had an album with krs, got locked up, released an album with wu while locked, came home made an album with ptiest and is knocking out singles with cap. Let alone the fact his shit went well into 2000s with ghost, masta killa rza and raekwon and gza, busta rhymes, black rob, afu ra dropping hot beats every year 01-2010, til the situation.
plus i thought true and meth had like a beef over some petty shit like sneakers or something and havent worked together since so it was nice he said something nice about true. But 4th taking it to heart but reality, 4th did freedom of speech in 04, algorthym, 2 beats on a better tomorrow, and speakers album in 20 years. Idk why he dont understand.

Meths phrasing was not the best. But he could have just tried to reach out. This just seems salty. Plus, like you pointed out, maybe it is a check in how much people know about what you are doing. This, and multiple other interview in which he talked about acting made me wonder if the fact that the Meth & Math album which turned into The Saga Continues played a part in him just continuing acting. (Besides being tired of touring all the time.)

What do you mean by that exactly? I would think he would be the one who okd the album turning into a mini wu album
between saga in 2017 and osts rza did like thriller horror movie and the of mics and men ost, combined they make a good wu album. Saga was a lil short and had very lil wu on it. I make my version with all those tracks plus the best solo of each rapper in that timeframe. I never understood why rza never put out a wu album with a solo from every member.
but anyway. Underrated era. Espwcially after a better tomorrow. Between abt, saga, of mics and men.. you can make a wu classic outta the 3 together. Apart they kinda iffy (cept saga) but theres a lot of good shit from that era.
When was it that Meth announced his follow up to 4:21? 2008 or something. It was supposed to be called Crystal Meth. Nothing followed but we had the Wu Massacre joint and 3 Meth Lab joints. The later have a certain mixtape vibe to me. They show off loads of other artists, and lack the focus of what you might call an album in my opinion. He went from the Yankees at Def Jam, to the minors. (Not taken into account how the whole music industry got shaken up since 2000. From MP3 sharing to streaming.)
Now here you have Meth work with Math on an album album. But somehow that turns into The Saga Continues. I think we can agree that selling a Clan album to a label is easier than selling a solo album anno 2017. And they might have striked out trying to sell the Meth & Math album, plus where is Crystal Meth? That being said, the money flow and the headache must have only increased here. My guess is that the revenue that is generated by the Meth Lab series is minimal. His last years at Def Jam, which he personally described as not his best years must have closed a lot of doors. And since his sort of re-awakening with the gym and all, he seems to have found a steady job in acting. Plus there is much more money & safety in acting with all the unions.
One thing that is obvious though, Meth loves to rap and will do that untill his death. He steadily kills it on his features.
Wonder what is up with tha Havoc album though.
