They say that whenever something happens, the first thing that you hear is almost always the truth.. When I was Googling on the day that I heard he died, suicide was the first thing that came up..
Did not want to believe that, but if you have listened to Chino XL throughout his career, you could tell that he was suffering from depression in his lyrics and I saw posts on his social media that were indicative of depression, but I never thought that he would kill himself.. Regardless of the fact, nothing about him will change to me, I will always represent for him and he will always be my favorite emcee and Here To Save You All will always be my favorite album of all time. He always had words of encouragement for people although he was suffering in silence.

He did. Five daughters, grandchildren and his mother was still alive. I guess being diagnosed with congenital heart failure back in 2020 and being diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer earlier this year was too much of a burden for him to bear and he decided that he would rather die by his own hand than let these health issues take him out. He was a very prideful person, so I can see that being the case and on top of that he was battling depression since he was a teenager. Big time suicide recipe. I have heard that he had about five albums worth of material recorded at the time of his death. First one is Darkness And Other Colors which has been leaked on YouTube. Words In The Color Of Death is him showing us that he was clearly contemplating this for some time and goes through various ways of him killing himself. It really is an intense listen. Basically his suicide letter in rap form
