Lá with Shotti Screwface and Black Rob(RIP)
Man, this album is a straight up banger. Almost every track is dope and there are some real classic. It's hard to beleive that he was around 18 then.
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth" (Rev. 3:15-16)
I remember trying to get the physical of this on ebay in like the early to mid 2000's, was a pain in the ass! Finally got it lol, classic album front to back

Was it that people wanted too much for it or you just could not find it?
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.
A combination of things if I recall. It was hard to get hold of so I got outbid a number of times. There was also this dude on ebay around that time, I think they were a known seller of rare Wu items as I heard their name mentioned on here. They would shill bid on their own items though so a couple of times I tried to get items from them I'd always get outbid at the last second. When I finally won one of their items the cheeky fucker had written their ebay name in tiny writing on the cover like a graffiti tag lol

Glad you finally got it. Been looking for Shyheim's Manchild album on cassette for a while now.. It finally popped up on eBay, but the seller wants $125.00 for it.. Shyheim is not even in demand like that to be charging that much for his album. I will just wait for a better deal down the line.

I think the prices of a lot of Wu joints surged a few years ago, not sure why... but I seem to remember certain things like La's album, the original press of 9th Prince's Granddaddy Flow, Japanese versions of some albums, etc. were all going for crazy prices and were difficult to find.
These days almost everything is re-released every other year or so, so I don't know if they held their value. I just recently got the VMP version of Heist of the Century, really nice release. VMP drop a lot of really good Wu reissues.
Peace!
I think some sellers, myself included, over value what they have. I sold a sealed cop of Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars on vinyl on ebay this year, but it was listed for over a year before it sold. Only got low ball offers for it, eventually sold it with negotiating, but only got around $70 for it in the end after fees.

Original version of Now Y. He's dissing the West Coast and names Daz & Pac. This was cleaned up by the time the album version dropped.
