Default Raekwon re-releasing special vinyl for House of Flyin Daggers

And still acting like GZA’s not on the song, boggles my fucking mind!!! So disrespectful and dumb. Can someone explain WTF happened between originally just having GZA on the chorus to putting his own vocals over what clearly is still GZA’s vocals and not giving him credits for it….

I truly don't know what you're talking about re: GZA

But I ordered this. JDilla should've produced an entire Wu Album

It’s stupid, even the original OB4CL2 it also does not credit him. GZA is on the album anyway so it’s just odd. Glad the guys who did the music video recognized GZA at least.

Don’t forget GZA was supposed to basically be the co-star of CL2 at one point. There was a magazine called Scratch that came out around 05/06 where this came up. RZA, GZA and Rae were on cover. Think a lot of his verses ended up on 8D. Just a theory. RZA’s “Can’t Stop Me Now” was meant for CL2 as well as “Rock Stars and Smoking Barrels”. They mentioned a few other tracks but can’t recall off top of my head. Peace

That’s true actually. Maybe the initial idea of the track was different given the throwback to ‘Clan in Da Front’ and the album having GZA & INS as guests before Ghostface came in and took his role like he did for the first album. GZA’s delivery in any case is very underwhelming, so I understand Raekwon just doing his lines, and it’s almost like he was just doing the vocals so later Rae could do them. What do you call that, when an artist does that for another artist? Like how 2pac did Unconditional Love only to show Hammer how he should do it?

Maybe I think it’s disrespectful, because he did keep GZA in the background, yet didn’t seemingly put in any effort to incorporate him very well. GZA should’ve been on point though, this track is so energetic and hearing GZA phoning it in like that, yeah he dug his own grave I guess. Imagine him bringing that Knock Knock chorus energy here.
