This quote just reminded me of the following I came across the other day.





And for the situation he is describing, it just sounds like he did not want to put down the money to have actual 3D animators work on it. I am also severely questioning the quality of the delivered work. It might look awesome to someone who can not work with those tools, but anyone who actually knows how to use said tools will immediately see the difference.

And what the fuck is he rambling on about here? 'In those days'? What fucking days is he talking about. Because the actual painting of film frames has been phased out since the first Tron in 1982. That brought brought with it the emergence of CGI, which was communicated way more successfully in 1993 with Jurassic Park (which was a combination of CGI & practical effects).
It's not like AI brought that revolution, tech already did for many years.

AI helped RZA demo his 2024 classical album, “A Ballet Through Mud,” before performing it with a live orchestra.

This one I can understand. Though it seems that artists which get served AI generated concept art from people are having more and more difficult time working from that.


EDIT: Maybe I am being a bit harsh, but I expect a bit more critical thinking and perspective when it comes to these things.
