I don't like this album a lot!! Too much singing, too much soft beats for my taste!!! Won't comment it much cuz I totally don't feel it!!

Stand outs are biscuits, be this way and run.
Be this way has some ill darts:
"SI the only place on the map they got the 30 dollar bill"
"No Trix we take from silly rabbits, yo feed them lead carrots"
"artillery heavy like a bunch of fat chicks"
i laugh out loud whenever wu mentions fat chicks. like meth on box in hand "like a fat bitch in spandex free whilly"
Ive learned to appreciate this album more over the years.
you know what i never heard this record for some reason .
mixed reviews about it though apparently
ONGH!!!! SHIT STINK BIG GATORZ , MY DETROIT PLAYAZ ONGH!!!
love this album...wish i could say the same for big doe rehab....but i cant....i fucking hate that album
ahhhh. that was epic
First of all, this album isn't a classic, but it is a banger.I grew up on soul music so alot of the tracks on the album I was lovin'.
Beat the clock s Ghost at his finest and the beat on this joint is crazy.
Save me dear: is another favorite(good soul shit)
It's over and biscuits were two more bangers. This ain't clientele and definately not ironman, but it is a banger....3.5/5
TONY STARKS WILL RIP APART any BEAT
first album on def jam it had to hit a wide fan base at the same time distorting the wu-element big mistake.
no matter how hard ghost tore up beats with ill flows no feat by any wu- member
save for TRIFE theodore unit , it wasnt just sounding on point.
its a banger but not a classic .
/ghostface catch the blast from........
he set it of in 36 and still remains my fav from WU
Classic to me. It may be the most cheesy and soulful, but its the album he always meant to make. He doesn't care for the RZA/martial arts shit that much. He fits perfectly between radio meets underground in my opinon. The samples and skits that are cheesy are pure Ghostface and I love 'em. "He bowlingball head, He bowlingball head"
this is a great album in spite of its unevenness, particularly in its scatter shot second half. while "holla" is striking in its passion and juxtaposition of rap lyrics laid directly over a classic soul record, the track that follows it, "ghostface," is noteworthy only for possibly being the worst eponymous rap song of all time.
the thing i like best about this album is its exploration of the relationship between the gangster life and hip-hop, and not the trite glorification of or simple exposition about hood violence. in kunta fly he gives us his viewpoint during a stickup and follows that with another first person perspective story but this time he's in the middle of a rap battle. metal lungies makes the connection explicit when he compares his rhymes to gun bullets, his mouth the gun. the analogy reaches its apex on the emotionally-laden holla. then i feel there are some tracks where, whether intentional or not, ghost is metaphorically talking about his relationship to the rap game (as it had been at the time): in tooken back, he's looking for forgiveness and reacceptance from one who once loved him (mainstream hip hop listeners), and in run we're told at the end that he's being chased for an overdue summons for a failure to merge (with the trends of mainstream hip-hop). i'm sure not everyone sees it this way but even without the conceit it's still a highly enjoyable hip-hop album.
oh and save me dear is my top candidate for the most endearing love song in wu's entire catalog.
one last thing, everyone knows about BPW's problems with sample clearances but it's worth remembering that pretty toney suffered just as badly:
gorilla hood (original version)
paychecks (original version)
splash
my guitar
these are all sick tracks which leaked out around the time PT was released but unfortunately contained samples which couldn't be cleared. i'm a hypothetical thinking mofo and i've always felt that if BPW and PT had been released as they'd originally been intended and if FS/MF had been released as 1 album with all the bullshit tracks cut then we'd be looking at 5 straight ghost albums in 10 years all with credible claims to being classics in their own right.
more akbar
huh ... i dont know what the somewhat dissapointment is about this one? sounds pretty dope too me.
i was actually wasnt expecting much ..but really im likin this one quite a bit
Ghost is head and shoulders above the Wu.
