Dutch straight up under estimated us but now van Gaal will adapt and change. It's a new game now I think they'll go on with it. I just wish we had a second genuine goal scorer, two or three chances that should have been at least put on target.

You can't run with your arms flat against your body. His hand didn't go to the ball and the distance between the two players was so small you just can't retract your arm in time. Absolutely bullshit.

The ball hit his arm, not the other way round. In Dutch they call it 'aangeschoten bal'. Should not have been a penalty.

Anyway, the Australians played well. The Dutch did okay too, but some of their defenders have issues trying to shoot the ball to the midfielders or strikers. It's the team's biggest problem. Janmaat was better at this this time around than in his first half against Spain. But De Guzman and Martins (who's more of a midfielder) aren't very good at that : taking the ball to the opponent's half in an efficient way.

The big advantage the Dutch have is that they have world class strikers. I think Sneijder did better this game than the last one. He was kind of invisible last time around.

Entertaining match! I like the Australians' attitude. It was their first match I saw, so I cannot compare to how they played against Chile (but I've been told they played with the same gusto).

Spain-Chile, end of the first half. Spain is definitely playing better than last time around (better combinations, more determination), but Ramos and Xavi Alonso are lacking at the moment. They might pick up in the second half. Iniesta is working really hard.

I'm surprised Del Bosque opted for Diego Costa again. He's a great player, obviously, but I still think he doesn't fit into the Spanish tactical plan. I hope he proves me wrong.

Chile is playing great. They're fast and they counter well. Fun match to watch so far. This group is entertaining, as someone stated above.
