    Default Nas & Pete Rock

As far as i knw they collaborated only for "The World Is Yours" and then had some kind of fallout. Any1 got any more info? In my opinion that would be the best Nas collaborator, their styles just compliment eachother so well. I wna see Nas hookup with...

    Pete Rock
    Premo obviously
    L.E.S
    Alchemist
    Kanye
    Organized Noize
    Slaam Remi
    Dame Grease

His own beats were pretty good too.

The above list probably wont happen, but he needs more consistent beats and to put a lil more time into his rhymes. He seemed to be strecthed too thin with the double disc. I want him to return with an album like "I Am..." That album mastered every style of rap, ad somethin for everbody and with the exception of 1 or 2 tracks was some top notch shit.

    kanye:no way.

hes just got a sound that doesnt suit nas.

its more of a 2005 trash hip hop sound. on the better end of it none the less but still.

nas is a golden era mid 90s rapper, and he needs to get back to it. use the same formulas, just up-date em (borrowed from a gangstarr track, not word for word)
The earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and in triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

People are too stupid to effectively conspire to do anything, but not too stupid to come up with conspiracy theories.

Pete Rock is the illest out there right now, has been for a while too. Nas needs to work with him again, and DJ Premier more and 9th Wonder.

Nas outshines Jay-Z without a question, any day, forget what the fuck anyone thinks. Nas is the illest commercial lyricist. from the era when phat rhymes meant more than how many women can fit into a video, where you club (what part of the game is that?) and dubz u managed to put on your cab; Nas has poetical skills that supercede anyone in commercial rap but he still manages to be, Just a Rapper! Nas' rhymes have concept and meaning take a look at "i gave u power" off it was written. Though im not reflecting on how ill Nas was back then im just stating the facts of his illness. He's adapting to times in his best way but he should remeber that with his phat phat phat rhymes he needs a good producer behind him & i think the best would be: Premo; Pete (mad shit) & 9th wonder

I agree that Kanye and Nas would be a bad pairing. Kanye beats are over-produced for Nas' style... Nas flowing needs to be the highlight of his tracks - he doesn't need to hide behind a million layers of sampled melodies. Look at 'Last Real N**** Alive' - Nas over a minimalist beat like that is insane. Kanye himself needs beats like the one for "Diamonds" to make himself sound like a better emcee...

Oh, and by the way I do think Kanye has some disgusting beats (like the one for "Diamonds"), but I just don't think Nas on 'em is a good idea.

Apparently Nas' 1st wife Carmen had an affair with Pete Rock.
As far as who Nas should work with...I don't care. I've given up on that prick.
