I'm using cool edit prop for chopping and then the kontact plugin in fl.

ah the kontakt plugin what does this do exactly ? because ive seen various producers speak highly of it

The Kontakt plugin is kinda like a sampler plugin. The beauty of it is that you can assign your chopped samples to any of key of your synth keyboard. So it's a lot easier to play with them and find new way to use your sample pieces.
