Default Many Say Its Time For Conscious, Uplifting Rap/hip-hop

It is obvious that there is a need for a change in the rap and hip-hop lyrical content. The reasons are many but two of the main ones are 1. The hip-hop generation has suffered through Hurricane Katrina, downpression and many other problems that grew while some were blunt-smoking, ginning and juicing. Hence, today, we need conscious lyrical content. We also need a revival in the soulful and sweet songs we used to write and play.

It would be and is rather nice to put my actions where my mouth is, therefore reccomending a good source for hip-hop poetry and material for recording is a good start.

yeah, yeah great cd, boom bow....
Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

Fuckin great album. This is different than the usual faggy wu fam albums, its more like the standard hardcore hip-hop of the time, as aposed to the type of stuff the wu were throwing out.
