i likes heavy mental alot. And View From Masada is a banga to
Masada was easily his worst album. He even said that he rushed it just so he could get out of his contractual obligations with the record company.
Obviously Heavy Mental was his best work. Then it's a toss up between Priesthood and Black August. Both were excellent albums though.
Mental - 9/10
Preisthood - 8/10
August - 8/10
Killah Priest is fucking ill. He is so damn dope. His live show wasn't that great though, but it was still banging. His flow and lyrics are ill and works with nice producers.
Heavy Mental 9/10
View from Masada 7/10
Priesthood 9/10
Black August 7/10
Killah Priest is by far my favourite of all the wu.
Heavy Mental: 9.6 / 10
Priesthood: 9.2 / 10
Black August: 8.1/ 10
BA Revisited: 7.8 / 10
View from Masada: 7.1/ 10
VFM was by far the worst album he has put out, you can tell the label had a huge impact on the lack of quality. Priesthood is an absolute sleeper, not many appreciate this album but it's exactly what he wanted... he put his soul into that one, the lyrics are absolutely on point. Black August is a real nice album also.
"The sacrifice, close my eyes and the fire come forth
Start spazzin then I blackout, I'm grabbin my Mac
Clap at the dragon, the beast, that paddin my streets
It's organized in the hood where we gaggin police
I wake up stabbin my sheets, see the monster grabbin my feet
Pullin me beneath, havin a head like Bill Gates
With a mouth full of platinum teeth
Imagine my grief, I'm gaspin, blastin my heat
The assassins"
- Killah Priest
