    Default Carlitos Way Vs. Scarface

two films (my two favorite films of all time), that have the same Director (Brian De Palma) and star (Al Pacino) as well as a few other actors

both are classics that ive watched over 20 times and theyve never diminished the more ive watched them
I Love Scarface, its just such a beautiful and explosively memorable joint, but for me Carlitos Way just edges it, its an amazing film

    so two films:
Scarface - the Ultimate Tale Of Morality
Carlitos Way - A Sad, Tragic Tale of Love, Betrayal, Code Of The Streets

    whats your pick?

I'm with Scarface too. The acting was much better in Carlitos Way, but Scarface is, well, Scarface

i thought most people would vote Scarface and i can't disagree, it is an amazing film
both those joints have me glued to the screen, even tho ive seen them many times
quite simply i love them both, but i just watched scarface and carlitos way both this week
and they both completely blow my mind, but Carlito's Way Is (only just) better IMO
not as much action, but Carlito is the coolest muthafucka on earth
and its a really moving film
im surprised John Leguizamo (a.k.a. Benny Blanco) hasn't had a more flavorful movie career after havin THAT role ('Empire' sucks ass) and hes now reduced to playin some wack role in E.R. (My Old Earth Watches It).
really id like to shake Brian De Palmas hand for enriching my lives with these 2 joints
im hoping to see more of his films, but i dont think hes made many other gangster joints

k, i guess i'll step up and say CARLITO'S WAY. scarface is real dope too..but carlito's way held my attention closer, and it felt more powerful to me. brian de palma is still a king behind the camera.

Carlito. Scarface was good, but in a cartoonish fashion. Carlito seemed more authentic.

i like to think of carlito's way as an unofficial, direct follow up to scarface.....IF scarface went to jail as opposed to dying.

Carlito's Way. I loved that film. Scarface didn't do such an impact on me.

Default Who do I trust ??? ME !!!

both directed by Brian De Palma, both Pacino playing a Spanish Drug Boss, both awesome movies, BUT SCARFACE takes the cake. 1. it was written by Oliver Stone which made it dark as fuck and 2. I prefer Pacino playing a Cuban more than Puerto Rican. also Carlito's Way, it was a story of an old time vet who wants to leave the game but got caught up thru the circumstances where Scarface was about a young thug with big dreams ahead of him.

Scarface is also my 3rd Fav. Film of all time.
