somehow i dont think they got invited 2 live 8
they may be good 2 us but in reality the world dont no the wu and alot of ppl would just go who the fuk r these guys

...and Kanye, Jay Z, P Diddy, BEP, and Will Smith were in the Philly Live8 concert...but yeah, for the most part it was R & B or rock n roll. This was for national T.V. so I suppose they tried to get pop friendly acts (hiphop) that would do songs that would be somewhat relavent to poverty and death in Africa. You can't blame Wu for not performing...it's not like if you wanted to perform, you could. You needed to be asked by the people in charge of setting up the acts. I know Kanye was a late addition. Some groups asked if they could be on it so who knows if Wu tried. I'd like to know if anyone could get reliable info if RZA or whoever tried to. Most groups got 3 songs to perform so I would think Better Tomorrow, Sunshower, Jah World, and/or The Night the Earth Cried would've worked. Oh well...

just to add to my last post...I'm surprised Nas, Talib Kweli & Mos Def, or Common weren't asked to and/or just decided not to perform. Like I said on my last post, most of it wasn't rap/hiphop but these guys got some popular songs that would be revelant to neglect and/or poverty of Africa. Guess they had a limit of stage time...

get fuckin real. u really expect to see wu, nowadays, on the same stage wit U2, Sting, Jay Z, and Pink Floyd. Wake the fuck up or get woke the fuck up
