    Default Jimi Hendrix Experience

This man...Jimi Hendrix is a fucking legend for a reason. He couldn't read a single note of music, but he made a guitar make the most out of this world noises, that people had never heard of be4. dude was wayyy ahead of his time in the 60's. It's songs like Hey Joe, All Along The Watchtower and the Wind Cries Mary that show his talent, as well as bangaz like Manic Depression, Fire or Purple Haze. This man could make blues shit, rock shit, any shit and stay real. Are You Experienced? is fuckin classic, Axis: Bold As Love is dope, and Electric Ladyland is fine-tuned and wonderful. RIP Jimi Hendrix, a true musical genius, who was taken from the earth way to soon.
Drop your thoughts/tracks/any shit u want about Hendrix in this thread yall.

    peace..

Electric Ladyland is one of the few rock albums I can actually call a 'classic'. He did go a bit downhill when he started on the yae yo though. Did you know that before he played a live show, he'd drop 2 tabs of LSD, and have 4 tabs in his sweatband? Hardcore, but I guess it killed the stage-fright for him

No, he's not. Technically.......of course he is. But can anyone name one song dude recorded? Anyone who played with Zappa gets respect but Hendix's contributions to guitar/music slay Vai. I think Vai would say the same..

It's not even fair to compare Hendrix and Vai, as they took different directions musically. Hendrix image wise obviously will stand out more than Steve Vai. Though much love to Vai, guy's a something else guitarist, he practice like 8hours at least everyday too.

hendrix is one of the best ever.

he played Noel Redding's right-handed bass on "All along the watchtower"

that's crazy (hendrix was a lefty)

hendrix was a great lyricist too. "Little Wing" is probably my favorite hendrix song, got some ill live recordings of that. listening to hendrix on vinyl is heavenly.

Vai is of course technically incredible. But technical skill doesn't make up for lack of creativity...
