boxing is walking dead... more of a spectacle than a sport.....
Boxing needs to change its business model if they want to stay relevant. My ideas are as follows: 1. Get rid of the WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO, etc. 2. Get rid of Top Rank, Golden Boy, etc. 3. Get rid of the extra weight divisions (Super, Jr.) and go back to the original weight divisions. 4. Get rid of Al Haymon, Gary Shaw, Bob Arum, Don King, etc. 5. Make PPV cheaper and have better undercard's. 6. Establish a commission/league to rule boxing (NHL, NBA, UFC, etc).
Boxing runs its business like a cassette walkman, UFC runs its business like an iPad. Boxing isn't a dead sport yet but a mismanaged one.

i don't buy Mayweather or Pac fights anymore...boycott. bob arum will never match manny with floyd as long as he's able to make a killing matching him with other Top Rank fighters. the only way they'll fight each other is if they stop getting high PPV buys from other matches. i can't think of another sport/competition IN THE WORLD where the best simply won't face each other.
