    This joint dropped fifteen years ago today. Never gets mentioned enough when Killah Priest's discography is brought up. Some of his most gothic, theatrical work.

    Thanks to your post I played the album 3 times this morning. Apart from the opening track and the very generic production on the HRSMN tracks this is a good album by Priest. But he has better albums out imo.

    This was a great return to form after View From Masada. Lots of good interludes also.

    Definitely. Too bad he / the record company made him reach for a 'broader' audience on View From Masada. To quote KP : 'Whut part of the game is that?'

    btw just wanna say, I still love how you put up these anniversary dates. Often I find myself playing albums again so many years after the fact, thanks to your posts. thank you

    I might play some Black August and Black August Revisited later today to see how they hold up compared to Priesthood

    No doubt. I am glad that these posts help people revisit albums. Sometimes I forget how good certain albums are until I pick them up again and think, "Why did I fall off on listening to this album?, it sounds so damn good still"
