theres always gonna be rascism in soccer. the roma fans are known to be the most rascist of all. they are fascist italians. italian player paulo di canio has a tatoo of mussolini on him. these roma fans are known as the ultras. in spain the people are just rascist over there, they make monkey noises at a lot of the players.
the mentality of these fans are that because of europe's cloudy past they see football matches as medieval battles. its all about pride and honour and when your team loses it pissed them off. i know this because the turkish team i support Besiktas are known to have the most violent fans in the world. a group called the carsi. just last year a fan was killed at the stadiums burger stand because he had a yellow and blue keyring. these are the colours of the arch rival team. they stabbed him right there. and when matches between two rival teams are played the army is called in to stop violence. when the team loses the stadium chairs are ripped off and thrown at players, the stadium is put on fire.
rascism is a big part of soccer, when teams are caught doing it they are not even punished for it. a spanish team was only fined 55,000 euros.
the main reason for holigans is pride and the fact that soccer is taken far too seriously. now in england nearly every house has an english flag outside, on TV all you see is the england team. i can gurantee its like this in every european country thats in the world cup.

Not real life? I dont understand that comment. Its not scripted or anything, its pretty much real life. People live it over here, just like some americans live Basketball or baseball. Do you know how much money is involved in this shit these days? Billions! But of course thats no excuse for racism.
Players deal with it brilliantly, over in Spain a famous black player named Samuel Eto'o (above) was booed and shouted at with "monkey" chants everytime he touched the ball. Eto'o went onto score and ran infront of the fans who was abusing him and acted like a monkey, i dont know what the hell those people who were abusing him thought, but it was brilliant.
Unfortunately, racism is everywhere. In every profession, in every city and in every country.
