album deserves 4.5 mics. I wish he threw some of the songs on there from Lost Tapes and it wouldhave been classic. Book Of Rhymes, Made U Look & Revolutionary Warfare are the highlights im. I hope he works with Alchemist more, cuz their styles really go nicely together
When the revolution come, you can see me on the frontline
firing my gun, standing right beside my son
so when he grows up, he'll understand that i stood for somethin
when my whole life, they told me i was good for nothin... - Inspectah Deck

for everything good about it, something takes a little away... for instance, get down is a great track, but the beat is exactly the same as ice t's you played yourself... the track with alicia keys was a great idea and for the most part it's good, but the chorus is just horrible... etc etc... nas' delivery on this album is probably the best and most consistent from him though... just a shame that some of the tracks get a bit boring...

    Nas is the illest
His rhymes are unbeatable and he flows like their no tomorrow
The track get down is one of my faviourites
That beat is very ill with some great scratches from the DJ

    9/10

I loved da 1st 4 opening tracks my favourite after illmatic. Get down, made you look and last real n***a alive are just straight ablsolute dope 3 of my favourite Nas songs and carry da cross isnt far behind. Da lbum drops a lot after dat with only a few good songs. Overall 7/10

One of my favorite nas albums. 8/10

With tracks like get down, the cross, revolutionary warfare, made you look, mastermind, its just a nasty ass release.

I forgot to say that i like I Can song on God's Son album because Nas made a positive song about the black youth can be whatever job profession they wanna do. I commend Nas for making a song like that because most rappers today aren't making positive songs like that for the black youth telling them they can be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, car mechanic rather than a rapper, pro athlete, stripper/prostitute, drug dealer.

Yeah I really should give this another try, but i couldn't ignore the mediocrity of-some-the beats before.

    Co sign.

Also, I Can and Book of Rhymes.

Great LP and often is overshadowed by Illmatic and Stillmatic... this is a slept on and unsung album.
