    Default Weight lifting

If i remember correctly, there was a thread in here called health and fitness where q's were asked regarding diets and training and also people traded tips for work outs etc. anyway, this isn't entirely like that, i just want some advice regarding increasing muscle size.

At the moment i dont have much time to go gym and havent invested much money in my home equipment incase i cant really achieve my goals and so would have to return to the gym. back when i was boxing i was doing so much shit i wasnt too sure what was exactly responsible from my muscules getting bigger. And so what im asking is, is it possible to gain muscle increase and definition at home using freewieghts?

All im using at the moment are 20kg dumbell and 30kg on the bench (aint that much buts its all i got 2 work wid)

My aim is to get those crazy danny williams shoulders and to define my arms and chest so by all means thow whatever tips u have my way. much appriciated

    Peace

Pick up a few muscle magazines, they always have some good articles on different exercises....

I feel like to get help and to stay motivated a gym is your best bet. I go to the gym daily. At the gym there are always people to give good advice and to spot you. At home you usually get sidetracked and do everything that you should.

You should deffinatly make the effort to go to the gym, there is only so much you can do with limited equipment, also I would advise getting a training partner if you can, it makes alot of difference. I hit the weights three times a week with a partner and it makes all the difference, in five weeks I've made massive leaps in strength and I've been training solo for a few years now.

Also if you are gonna use your stuff at home and you say your maximum bar weight is 30kg and 20kg dumb bell, I would suggest increasing your reps (between 12 to 15, assuming you do about 10) and doing five sets, this should help abit, but it's no substitute for the gym.

theres nothing wrong with training at home
    its just u get sidetracked
but if its convinient for you then just do it

i go to the gym in the afternoon
its tuff coz i have alot of dj gigs
plus the rooms in japan are pretty small
if i had a weight set it would take up all the space in my room

    good luck

if the weights at home aint challenging you you have to get to
a gym, only thing thats gonna make your muscles grow is to
challenge them, if the shit feels light(i imagine 30 kilo bench feels
pretty light) your muscles aint gonna grow, id recommend getting
    to the gym asap

I don't like gyms personally, too many posers for my liking. I need to get a curl and Z-bar though, I like to keep myself toned, i play football for the stamina normally, but since i my ankle got snapped I don't really play anymore, so to compensate I just go on the bike and rowing machine
