denzel did some average movies imo. but i saw Malcolm X a few days ago again, and wondered why he got an Oscar for Training Day and not for Malcolm X. it's so difficult to impersonate a real person... Jamie Foxx got it for Ray, Philip Seymour Hofman for Capote...
well, can't wait for that movie. a mob movie with the Vietnam war as a background, sounds really good to me.

Russell Crowe was spotted yesterday filming the new Ridley Scott-directed American Gangster with rapper RZA and John Hawkes from HBO's Deadwood. The cast was filming in the Brooklyn (South 4th St between Wythe and Kent, Williamsburg Brooklyn)[Map of location]
American Gangster is based on a New York magazine article by Mark Jacobson about Harlem drug lord Frank Lucas, who smuggled heroin in the caskets of soldiers killed in Vietnam. He was eventually collared by New York detective Richie Roberts, who got Lucas to turn against his drug compatriots and the crooked cops who made his smuggling scheme possible.
