CONCLUSION:

Dusk came out the gate with some fire, Tribe was able to hold his own by combating what Dusk through at him. The first verses were pretty decent.

Then second verses came..............I don't know what to say, they weren't garbage, they just weren't poppin like they should've on both sides. Now what kills it for me was Tribe was throwing out some week punches, and Dusk fired back with some gibberish shit, that just seemed like it was made to rhyme but wasn't very coherent.

As far as rhyme schemes, and word play neither emcee can say they're better then the other. Both had a different style, Dusk would have came ahead if he could have molded his rhyme schemes into decent punches. Dusk was persistant in showing his skill, but Tribe was able to show that he could match what Dusk was throwing out there. What did it for me was, Tribe didn't sacrifice his rhymes and punches just to show he can rhyme words, and feell really that's where Dusk fell. Believe me, I catch shit for same thing on other boards I battle on all the time.

I used a 2 point method, and based giving 2 points for each line- a point was given out for the message and presentation of the punch. If I didn't feel nothing for the line I didn't give a point. Simple.

If my vote isn't respected, then don't count it. I spent over 2 hours mulling these verses over to come to a conclusion. I remained un-biased through out my voting process, even if some of my comments don't seem so.

I think the first round definitely went to T-ribe, Dusk dropped a verse with good wordplay and rhyme schemes but overall i felt the punches were lacking whereas T-ribe was hitting with the personals and punches and had some nice flow and rhymes to back it up. Remember all those voting, wordplay and schemes can be included in making your decision on who wins but the most important element of a battle are the punches and personals (whoever tells you this isnt the case is kidding themselves) so thats what i want voted on in the main.......
