a decent album with a lot of potential, method man's stepped up both his flow and lyrics although he should try to switch up the content somewhat. most of the beats sound uninspired and pretty average except for the rza's contributions which for me definitely sounds like "tical '06". havoc brought heat as well and scott storch laced him with a banger other than those 6-7 tracks it's a weak album.

    Overall: 3.5/5

A bit surprised with the more recent posts about this album. I thought this release was great mixture of that dark Wu Meth, in addition to the more mainstream friendly Meth. Ill cover too. His 3rd best album for sure (flow is sharper on here than on ANY of his albums). FAAAAR from average in this musical climate (Presidential MC alone shits on most joints that I'd label as average).

    1. Intro 2:11
I like the beat on this joint, the skit comes in, then Method Man comes in and does a good job he shows that he still has some heat in them, it wasn't amazing but good enough. 4/5

    2. Is It Me 3:44
This is actually an ok joint produced by Scott Storch, the beat is cool, Method Man is cool on this joint, he comes nice on this joint, nothing really special but nice. 3.5/5

    3. Problem 3:30
This joint sounds like some Redman shit, I know who produced the track, It's aiight and Method Man comes aiight on it, this is some average material on this joint. Method Man needs to stop tryna prove the critics wrong and just spit. 3.5/5

    4. Somebody Done Fucked Up 3:18
This joint bangs hard. I'm not gonna lie it does get repetitive after awhile but it still knocks if you focus away from that. Method Man comes nice on this and I love the hook. 4/5

    5. Shaolin Soldier (Skit) 0:21

    6. Fall Out 3:24
I thought after hearing the Shaolin Soldier Skit a grimey ass track was about to come on but I hear this shit, it's aiight nothing to special Meth comes ok on it, I think he's trying to hard a little bit and needs to release it... 3/5

    7. Dirty Mef (Feat. O.D.B.) 2:59
This joint is a cool, track nice to hear O.D.B. again, I think towards the end they have O.D.B. saying Fuck you a little too long. ODB verse is nice then Method Man comes in cool. 3.5/5

    8. 4:20 (Feat. Streetlife & Carlton Fisk) 4:34
This joint is on some P.L.O. style type shit, You got Method Man, Streetlife AND that nigga Carlton Fisk! Method Man needs to just spit on this joint and stop worrying about the critics, nevertheless he comes correct on this track, Streetlife comes street as hell on this joint, "This is not a rap song , you get clapped on, bullets break the bone like a joint"..he just grimey on this joint, and Carlton Fisk comes back real nice on here, nice to hear from this nigga again, he does a great job on the hook aswell. 4.5/5

    9. Let's Ride (Feat. Ginuwine) 3:10
This is one of them womanizer tracks, This joint not wack but I don't think it fits the album, it's all good though, this wasn't even the second single. Average Material. 3/5

    10. The Glide 3:05
I fucks with this track, Raekwon just kills this shit with no problem at all, and La on the hook is real gangsta, one of my favorite parts on the track, then U-God comes in with a short and sweet verse, Method Man ends it off and here's one of the times i think he was trying a little hard, he did a good job, but he could've came better, he is Method Man. 4.5/5

    11. Kids (Skit) 0:47

    12. Got To Have It 4:13
I still fucks with the beat on this joint, but after awhile it gets kind of dry. I feel what he's spitting though, he came correct on this joint no doubt. 3.5/5

    13. Say 3:49
The beat is kinda too slow, he came lyrically correct on this joint though I can't lie, this is just too slow for me, This is good for what it is. 3.5/5

    14. Ya'Meen (Feat. Fat Joe & Styles P) 4:21
I don't know about this joint right here, Method Man wrote his verse like in 5 seconds, the beat is ok, Fat Joe is wack on this joint, Styles P comes hard on this joint, it seems he's the only one who put it some work. 3.5/5

    15. Konichiwa Bitches 2:59
Method Man flows on this joint real well, I fuck with this track, one of the strong points of the album, the beat by Rza is nice aswell, to "

....he went in with the flow on this joint.
    4.5/5

    16. Everything (Feat. Inspectah Deck & Streetlife) 3:34
I think Method Man could've came harder on this joint because everyone else did, Inspectah Deck comes in mad nice with his verse " You would swear that I'm rocking new balance how I walk on the ledge" he came hard on this joint and Streetlife topped it off mad nice no lie "

...Beat by Mathematics is Mad nice aswell...
    4.5/5

    17. Walk On (Feat. Redman) 2:46
The beat on this joint is kind of wack and Method Man came weak on this joint, Redman came hard on this one for no reason, this could've been left off the album or replaced with a better beat. 3/5

    18. Pimpin' (Skit) 0:31 LOL Meth

    19. Presidential M.C. (Feat. Raekwon & The Rza)
The beat on this joint is mad nice, but Method man didn't really come hard as I thought he would on this joint, Raekwon kills this shit with no problem ...
"o, blew 'em and hit 'em, and he went into a spin cycle

And Rza came so wack on this joint, I can't give this joint a great rating
    as I want to
    3.5/5

    20. 4 Ever (Feat. Megan Rochell) 4:04
I was feeling this joint at first but then it died out, This definitely could've been left off the album, the singing isn't bad but you can't follow up a grimy track with this joint. 3/5

    Lyrics - 3.5/5
    Beats - 4/5
    Overall - 3.5/5

I think Method Man was trying too hard lyrically on some parts of this album, then on some tracks he didn't come hard enough, then he has Soft tracks following up a hard track, I don't really like that transition at all. I hope Crystal Method is a step foward. If he had Tical 0 lyrics on this joint, this would've been a way better album. ****Overall 3.5/5****

    I had to do a re-review.....

Only a few years ago Hip Hop purists may have felt superior listening to hard core while their less enlightened companions snacked on commercial rap. As Shaolin research began to point out the overwhelming benefits of raw production, true hip hop enthusiasts started turning back to traditional styles. Wu-Tang in particular, has been shown to myriad beneficial effects, from warding off ignorance and poverty to reducing the risk of incarceration and death.

    Underrated album I can see.

It's a banger. Presidental MC, Fall Out, Dirty Mef, The Glide... all great tracks. Production was great.

But to each his own. 4/5

Production was great, that's why the beat received a 4. But you have to look at everything else too.

I bought this album and trashed it. I love Meth to def(no homo) but I simply couldn't get into this album. Is he not allowed to make the music he wants to make anymore or is he trying to reach commercial status.

would've been close to classic with about 2 more rza/math joints.
the song with genuine was complete garbage, and I'm tired of hearin meth rock off eric sermon beats, save that for mef and red albums.8/10
