Not hiphop, but alt, and very popular round here, this band



Filmed in the park where I spent my youth. Both singer & drummer live in the same street as my parents. Singer's girlfriend was my goddaughter's elementary school teacher.

Very successful band on a national level (lots of albums), but split up last year cuz the singer wanted to go solo.

The lyrics are a Belgian poem (in Dutch) by our most famous poet (Hugo Claus) translated into English.

My hometown has a local hiphop scene too (lot of freestylers at the park in the video above for instance) but nothing really that gets me excited.
