American culture is arguably the most dominant cultural force in present times. Although they may deny it, most Americans are ethnocentric; they tend to think their way of life is superior to that of other people.

When it comes to sports it is no different. it's always been said that soccer is the king of all sports, and americans can't stand that.

they always argue their sports are better, and that soccer is boring.

now i grew up playin and watchin soccer; i personally think it's the best of all sports. most popular sports (i.e. basket ball, American football, ...) are modeled after soccer.

so, any americans in here make yourself heard. what do y'all have to say?

By the way, it's not called soccer; it's universally known as FOOTBALL.

Well in the U.S. it's called soccer, and that sport can't even compare to basketball, real football, or baseball. The best sport to watch though is the NFL, then to play i think is basketball.

yea, man. americans don't like football cause their players are weak. they should check out the European Champions League or the Copa Libertadores.

"Soccer" is real FOOTBALL. American Football hardly uses the FOOT so i dont undestand why its called Football.

Apparently American football had its roots in England.

I didnt read the whole thing but that ^ paragraph gives some good info. It seems football and soccer (i bet europeans hate the term "soccer") were linked together and then split into 2 entities.

Well im a huge fan of soccer, but i love NFL Football more.

Yes American League players suck ass, European Football is way better, prolly cause they got players from across the world playing.

Soccer is only fun to watch when 2 good teams are playing each other!

definatly. i cant stand watching bad soccer. because it can be bad. but when you get to the upper levels nothing even comes close. to be a top notch soccer player you have to be able to do so many things well and with so much pace for so long. mind blowing some of the shit these guys can do.
