I don't see what the big deal is about the Halo series.
I mean i've played Halo 1 and halo 2, and as a FPS, it's decent because of the vehicles but.....
that's it. Overated in my opinion.
There's nothing special about the weapons. There's no customaization of the characters, everybody is like the same thing...
a stupid looking suit.
I wanna chase someone down with a chain saw or a samurai sword. Not some funky lookin light sword.
I want to throw daggers or dynamite. Give some fucking blood, FPS should be blood thirsty.
My favorites.......
Doom, Duke Nukem, Unreal, and red steel is cool.
I'd like to see some these games take on elements of Halo, then' well see a good FPS....
Its all about the online multiplayer man. I agree with you totally though, but online....its the best FPS ever. Campaign mode is aiight.....but i never play it, i jus play online. The graphics are the best though. Halo is not overrated, trust me. Play online and you'll understand.

live is great too. since playing live for 8 months ? ive found a secret gun in capaign, and found ways to get out of multiplayer maps - behind the invisible walls, never knew about superbounces, double shots you never stop getting better online

in my opinion...
Halo will suck, unless it matches the multi-player fun of, Nintendo 64 Goldeneye (best game ever in my opinion). Goldeneye Nintendo 64 was and still is the benchmark for every shooter after that game to me. And at the end of the day, Halo's plays like an average shooter to me.

Psh, halo is beast. Halo 2 has been the most played game on xbox live for the past year, and is still the best to today, better than Gears of War and Halo 2 been out for like 2 years. What!!?? Nah im playin, but that was fact, i jus said it violently. I didnt even like Halo at first and i thought the same thing as you. Halo 2 is beast, trust me. Campaign mode isnt the best and i agree with you there. But Online play is much, much different and much much better, so dont judge until you play matchmaking, its a BEAST

BR is Battle Rifle.....BTB's is a matchmaking playlist that stands for "Big Team Battle" where you can get like 8 of ur friends to go up against 8 other people online, pretty fun. And Lockout is one of the maps that you play on.

about my Halo statement
I don't think its a bad game, but...
compared to Nintendo 64 Goldeneye, and the fun I had with that game, everything else seems, well, average. maybe its because I'm older now, and my mental state changed
