This thread could be nice. I hope we can keep it that way. You know I'm bringin video. This album was five mics(even if sometimes 5 mics dont mean shit). The bonus tracks Breath Easy/Girls Remix was a definite plus. I feel that this album is equal to Resonable Doubt. Many are gonna come and talk about that anyway. The point is to show how though , if you pick better or worse.
the beats really went with jayz. I liked it.

The reason you liked it is curtosy of one Kanye West. That album is built around his sound. He was starving at that point. He made killer tracks. The production is flawless on this album.
Have you heard Vol 3? The production is sick on that as well. At least for
its time.
I'm not gonna lie to you. Blueprint is a biters paradise from its Title to the lyrics. Of course you do know that KRS-one already made an album called Blueprint and also He opened the album with "The rulers back" which is a straight Slick Rick jack.
You gotta love how Kanye flipped the Doors on "Takeover".

I almost forgot this...Hov paid Royce the 5'9 for the song Renagade. Its said that he paid something like 50 large. I heard the Royce version but I havent read much info about the situation.

fucking average album, about 3 good tracks.
renegade is excellent.
the production is generally boring and formulaic.
3 tracks? Sounds a lil harsh. I say there are 10 good songs on that album. An average album is around 7/10 to me.

prolly not quite as good as dynasty
10/10... because it's the very last of all rap albums that has all qualities to be classic. Not like Reasonable Doubt, but Jay-Z went hungry there becaue of beef wit Nas. They both kicked albums that were classics by lyrics, but Jay production waay overpassed Nas's. Kanye West was strongest there.

This is my favorite Jay Z album. He came correct on everything. Everything was good beats and ryhmes. I wish Kingdom Come sounded like this.

not as good as reasonable doubt, but its like he went back into that mindframe
its an honest record, jays really at his best when he raps about his life and struggles
and of course the production was incredible
it bugs me that he cant make more albums of this calibre
kingdom come is dope and the lyricism is great but at the same time his flow is slightly stunted, and the albums production isnt cohesive
too many big name muhfuckaz on there
also i wanted a timbaland beat
